Tourist In Our Own City

Jeff received a complimentary night at any Shangria-La Hotel, which was due to expire at the end of this month. We tried to get into the SL in Abu Dhabi but it was completely booked, so we ended up booking a night at the SL in Dubai.

We enjoyed coffee at the Marina prior to checking in. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and had dinner at a nearby restaurant. It was a really relaxing weekend without having to go too far.

Don't dunk me, Dad.

I am still a peanut. (Finally fits - Thanks Uncle Ken & Diana)

Go Daddy Go!

As the season is coming to an end, we decided we should go watch another game. Noah managed to stay up for the whole game and appeared to be watching the flow of the game.

Hanging out at the arena is preparing us for our visit in April.

All bundled up.

Jeff scored.

Play Date

We met Traci (Mom) & Emelia (girl- 2 weeks older than Noah) over a month ago in the bathroom at Ibn Battuta Mall. We were both struggling to nurse our little ones discreetly - instantly bonded. It is fun to watch them 'play'.

Heading to Shakespeare Cafe.

Do we really have to hold hands?

Mom - she is eating my hand.

What's under here?

Life's pretty good.

Dubai Desert Classic 2009

Only the Dubai Desert Classic could take us away from Noah...and only then for a few hours. We were really lucky that Lily could come and take care of him, while we caught up with some of the worlds best golfers.

Unfortunately, Tiger didn't make his return to defend his title, however it made for much smaller galleries and a more relaxed atmosphere. Was nice to have some time to ourselves and enjoy one of the events that makes Dubai a cool place to live.

And he gets it. Goes on to win the tournament.
