Last Night with Nan & Pops

For Bob & Gayle's last night we decided to go big...or more specifically go high.

We started - At the Top! With a trip to the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa - the world's tallest building. Gayle decided that Bloomingdales was more to her liking, while Bob, Jeff and I went up. It is a new must-do for our visitors.

We took in a few Dubai Fountain shows -world's largest fountains - then headed to NEOS for a pre-dinner drink. Seemed a little low, given it was only on the 63rd floor of the Address hotel.

Lastly, we enjoyed a great Thai meal at the Mango Tree, taking in more of the Dubai Fountain shows. We hope that it was as memorable of a last night for Nan & Pops...as it was for us.

Showing where on the Burj Khalifa we are headed.

This is going to be a long ride up.

Can't get enough of the Dubai Fountains.

Suckers for the souvenirs.

29 Weeks

We are at 29 weeks!!! For me, this is officially the homeward stretch. Crazy!

Thought it would be great to get a memorable Dubai photo for P2's baby book and what better place to capture this crazy city than At The Top - 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa, world's tallest building.

What is Easter without a Turkey Dinner?

Since Easter weekend was very busy, we decided to delay the turkey dinner and combine it with an early birthday celebration for Jeff - more cake!

Atlantis Aquaventure Again

There are few that can come to Dubai without making a visit to Aquaventure...and Bob was no exception. Besides Nan's little spill on the tube, fun was had by all.

IKEA with Nan & Pops

Today we went to IKEA to get inspiration for the kitchen renos at Dawson. Noah was happy we made the trip, as he got a new table and chairs, as an early birthday present from Nan & Pops.
Thank you, Nan & Pops!

Drinks please.

Noah the Easter Bunny

After Noah found all his treats from the Easter bunny, he got to hand out a few treats to everyone else.

Do I have to hand these out...

Nan

Venitta

Vivian

Pops

Mom & Dad

More for Noah.

Yum - jelly beans.

Happy Easter!!!

Noah had his first official Easter egg hunt, which he did pretty well. The Easter bunny was conscious of the forecasted 30 degree highs, so only hid a few.

Happy Easter!

Look - I found one!

Noah's cheering squad.

Another one.

Break time.

What is this???

Whatever it is...I am taking it.

I like Easter.

Who knew the Easter bunny brought toys too.

A Day at the Royal Meridien

We found a great deal at the Royal Meridien Hotel Dubai, which gave us access to all their beach and pool facilities accompanied by a wonderful lunch at the Maya restaurant. It didn't take a lot of convincing and we also joined by the Berrys and a few other friends.

Unfortunately, I didn't take as many pictures as I thought I had.

Getting set up.

Straight to the pool.

Great kids pool.

Sitting down to lunch.

We had 18 in total.

Noah is done.
