Twas the Night Before Christmas

The McPhee's have a tradition of opening one gift on the eve of Christmas and it is our understanding that on most occassions a new pair of pajamas is received.

We had a great dinner of sushi. There isn't much, you can't get in Beijing - Yum!

Christmas Eve Brunch

Who would have thought but a short stroll from Cind & Lee's there is a quaint organic restaurant, which serves up a great brunch. What a perfect way to kick back on Christmas Eve.

Tiananmen Square & The Forbidden City

Given it was our first visit to Beijing, we wanted to take in all the sites. Today, we all packed up and headed to Tiananmen Square & The Forbidden City - which isn't so forbidden any more. We also enjoyed an authentic szechuan lunch.

The Great Wall sans Noah

Today, we did the Great Wall experience without Noah...and are we glad we didn't have to trek him along.

Lee, Bob, Jeff and I hiked 10kms along the Wall, which took close to 4hrs. It was challenging at times but such an amazing experience.
