Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Club

We quite enjoy trying the different beach clubs, here in Dubai. Today, we decided to visit the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Club, as it is only 10 minutes from our house and offers a day pass with no meal included, which allowed Jeff to order food and me to continue on my cleanse.

We went for a great walk along the beach. It was interesting to see all the development going up at the Marina from this angle and we scoped out which beach club we might go to next.

Starting to Feel Like a Home

We recently re-received the furniture we bought in Sharjah. That is right - Re-received. The first time it came, it was finished in a really dark brown wax that came off on your clothes, so we had to send it back to be stripped down to the colour that it is now...and we love it.

I also painted the living room to add some interest and warmth, as every room in our home is a yellowish, off-white. While it took me 7 cans of paint to pick the right colour, our living room is really coming together.

Not all BBQs are Created Equal

If there is one appliance that we miss from back home, it would be any one of our Weber BBQs. While we found this little "Smokey Joe"...charcoal BBQing is just not the same.
