Having just taken possession of his new boat, Dad was eager to take us out. We decided we would do a short maiden voyage to the RVYC's outpost on Tugboat Island.
While the wind died down prior to our arrival on the first day, the weather was great and it was a very comfortable sail over. Upon our arrival, we explored the island before enjoying dinner at the Silva Bay Resort Marina restaurant.
On the second day, we woke up to grey clouds and a much cooler temperature. We got a bite to eat and looked around Silva Bay before packing up for the journey back. While the rain managed to mostly hold off, it was less than ideal conditions, in my mind.
We ended the voyage with a great dinner on the RVYC patio.
We are off.
I think he likes his new boat.
The trip over to Tugboat was very enjoyable.

This picture does not do the day justice. I don't think I was smiling this much.
Smooth sailing.
